The scriptures contain many metaphors for the church. Of those, one of the most signifigant is A FAMILY. Our church is not simply made up of families, it IS a family. Like any family, we support one another, encourage one another, and seek the best for each other. We learn together, serve together, celebrate together. If one of us is suffering, we suffer with them...nobody has to go through life alone.
Our pastors serve as "under-shepherds" who lead us. We follow them as they follow Jesus Christ, but ultimately each of us is called to follow Jesus as His disciple.
Our church family is not the only expression of the church. We acknowledge that many other churches are also expressions of Christ's body, and as such are precious to us. We consider any church that can affirm the essential elements of our doctrinal statement to be an extended family member of the Crossroads network.

Our Church
Church is an interesting word. Usually, when people use the word church they are referring to a building. This is not what the New Testament is referring to when it speaks of the church however. The Biblical idea of"church" refers to the people who make up the church.
Make no mistake, we LOVE our new campus! We are thankful to God for providing it. It will never be our church though; we view it as a tool. It is a venue where we hope God’s grace and unconditional love are on display. We hope it is a place where the people of our community know they can find a warm welcome, an encouraging word, unconditional acceptance, and truths that can transform their lives.
Our Purpose
Crossroads Church at Montgomery exists to be a visible, physical expression of the life of Jesus Christ: to live as He would live, love as He would love, and serve as He would serve, blessing others and bringing glory to God.
